Spotlight questions
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I really enjoy it when I get the chance to be creative and design images and content for our marketing campaigns. I’m a born researcher and anyone that knows me well, knows I research everything within an inch of its life. Whether that is an office move, a new telephone system or adopting a family pet. I also am a massive technology fan and love it when I learn a new ‘trick’ however big or small.
How do you most like to spend your time outside of work?
I love spending time with family and friends. I also love travelling and have most recently discovered a love of cruising. It’s great waking up in a new location each day. It really quenches my desire to explore the world. I also enjoy cooking for loved ones and have been called upon by friends more than once or twice to cater for big parties. To relax, I like to immerse myself in a great fantasy book or film.
Something guaranteed to make your day better…
A cuddle with my puppy. It used to be my children, but they desire hugs from their mom less these days.
The last TV series you recommended to someone…
“It’s a Sin” on Channel 4. Everyone, no matter their sex, race, religion, sexuality, etc has a right to love and be loved.
What makes you laugh?
I was born and bred on sarcasm and silly humour provided by the likes of the Two Ronnies, Rik Mayall, Goodies, Red Dwarf, Spitting Image (thanks Dad). I believe laughter is the best medicine and has the ability to make everyone feel better if they’re having an off day.
Is there a quote or motto you try to live by?
"Treat others the way you would like to be treated yourself." and "You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." – C.S. Lewis
An achievement you’re really proud of…
I have previously run for Stourbridge Running Club and competed in numerous races, even beating one of our Directors, Dale Gough, in the Birmingham Half Marathon in 2012! I am proud of everything I have achieved in my life because I know I have worked hard to get it.
Something people might be surprised to learn about you…
I once appeared in a charity “Calendar Girls” style calendar raising money for Cancer Research. Don’t worry, my modesty was protected at all times!
