Wolf Run and Equity Release Week: Your latest news from Prosser Knowles

The last few months have been jam-packed here at Prosser Knowles!

Here’s the latest team news.

Raising nearly £1,500 for the Family Haven at our latest event, the Wolf Run

If you read our last company update, you might remember that several members of the Prosser Knowles team were training for the “Wolf Run”, a muddy 10 km course completed on 14 September.

Our lovely colleagues, together with friends from Griffiths Marshall Business Advisory, completed the run:

  • Matthew Freemantle
  • Leighton Parkes
  • Millie Court
  • Laura Evans
  • Nicholas Broughton
  • Jonathan Bissett
  • Edward Brecknell
  • Vanessa Coates
  • Rachel Robb
  • Gavin Sterry
  • Toby Vaughan
  • Charlie Bonnell
  • Caitlin Macauley
  • Nicola Hale
  • Nicola Price

A big thank you to our colleagues and friends who agreed to push their bodies and minds through 30 obstacles over 10 km. The water was freezing, the mud deep, and the obstacles high, but with tremendous teamwork, we all completed the course in the allocated time.

Some of our colleagues went some way to conquer their fears of heights and cold water, while other colleagues were jubilant that they managed to run 10 km!

Despite some scuffed legs and a few bruises, we all came through in one piece. We were blessed with some fantastic weather on the day, which made the taste of a well-earned post-race beverage all the sweeter.

Our team completed this treacherous run to raise money for The Family Haven, a local charity who we’ve worked with for more than two years now. The Family Haven works with families around Gloucestershire who are especially vulnerable, providing emotional and practical support.

We’re so pleased to announce that the Wolf Run raised £1,494 for The Family Haven. According to the charity’s website:

  • £10 provides art materials for nursery play sessions
  • £25 enables 90 minutes of support for a parent in need
  • £50 gives 25 children a healthy lunch
  • £250 affords transport for a local day trip for our families.

So, our donation could provide:

  • 149 sets of art materials for play sessions
  • 60 support sessions for parents in need
  • 750 healthy lunches for children
  • Transport for six local day trips.

Thanks to all who donated – you can view our fundraiser and donate on our GoFundMe page!

Our second Equity Release Week is running between 21 and 25 October

You might have heard already that our second Equity Release Week will be running between 21 and 25 October 2024. Last year’s event was such a success, and we are excited to welcome more of you through our doors.

Equity Release Week is an opportunity for you to visit our offices (or join us online) to discuss the option of lifetime mortgages and whether this may be right for you.

The benefits of attending include:

  • Sitting down for a personalised consultation with experts. We will take the time to understand your unique situation and financial goals. Once we know your circumstances, we will provide tailored advice to help you make informed decisions about equity release, and explain the key advantages and potential risks of this move.
  • Receiving an on-the-day state benefits check.During your visit, we will ascertain whether you are eligible for any state benefits that you aren’t already receiving.
  • Having a no-obligation conversation. There is no commitment required during the session – you can simply come in, ask questions, and gather information to find out if equity release is suitable for you.
  • Obtaining an exclusive offer. We’ll be offering a 10% discount from our usual adviser fee for anyone who takes up an initial meeting during Equity Release Week, if you decide to proceed with advice given and if equity release is right for you.

To book your slot, email rachel@prosserknowles.co.uk or andrew@prosserknowles.co.uk or call 01905 619100 to learn more.
