Introducing our brand-new charity recommendation scheme in support of The Family Haven

We are proud to work with a local Gloucestershire charity, The Family Haven. The Family Haven supports vulnerable families in our county, providing educational, emotional, and structural support to those who need it most.

As part of our continued fundraising efforts, we’re introducing a new scheme that can help us make an even bigger difference – and we need your help.

Under our new charity recommendation scheme, we’ll donate £50 every time we have an initial meeting with a potential new client recommended by you, our existing clients. Our goal is to raise an additional £5,000 for the charity.

No matter whether the meeting is conducted online or in person, nor if those involved decide to continue working with us, we pledge to give £50 to The Family Haven every time.

So, if you have family members, friends, or colleagues who you believe could benefit from working with us, put them in touch with us today. We specialise in working with:

  • Senior executives and professionals who face challenges planning for retirement or want to mitigate their tax liability
  • Business owners, helping them to manage their personal wealth alongside their corporate assets
  • Those on the runway to retirement, ensuring they have enough in their pot to live their desired lifestyle
  • Current retirees, giving them the peace of mind that they can enjoy later life without worrying about money
  • First-time buyers and homeowners who are looking to fund a purchase with an affordable mortgage deal that’s appropriate for them.

If you’d like to spread the word about our services and support The Family Haven in the process, share our contact details or get in touch directly by emailing enquiries@prosserknowles.co.uk or requesting a callback from one of our advisers.

And, if your connections want to learn more about how we can help them, our 340 VouchedFor reviews can offer plenty of insights.

2 of the Prosser Knowles team become business shareholders

In an exciting development for these two members of the Prosser Knowles team, Jon Bissett and Goss Lumsden became shareholders of the business at the beginning of October.

Both financial planning consultants, Jon and Goss are now fully embedded in the Prosser Knowles family, and we’re delighted that they’ve decided to become part-owners of the firm.

Talking about his decision to take this step, Goss said, “It feels very special to be given this opportunity, not only to own a share of a company that I love but also know that I am going to have a hand in shaping its future.

“Both Jon and I have worked at Prosser Knowles for more than seven years, and in that time we have discovered the secret of Prosser Knowles – an irresistible secret which meant we both knew we had to become a part of it.

“Admittedly, it’s not a very good secret, because everyone who works with us knows it, and all of our clients know it too. But the big secret of this firm is that Prosser Knowles is a company that cares.

“It has consistently cared for its clients and staff, The Family Haven, and for us all in good times and bad – and that is the type of company that we want to be a part of.”

Congratulating Jon Bissett on his recent engagement

It’s been an eventful month for financial planning consultant Jon Bissett. Not only has he joined the business as a shareholder, but he’s now engaged to his partner, Hannah!

The two plan to tie the knot in a summer wedding next August. Congratulations, both, on your upcoming nuptials!

Natalie Link marks 15 years at Prosser Knowles

Looking back at her career, Natalie says, “Having been at Prosser Knowles for 15 years, I have certainly witnessed a lot of change both within the industry and here at Prosser Knowles.

“It’s exciting to see the growth from a company of just 11 people when I joined, and only one location, to tripling in numbers and expanding to locations further afield.

“I started life at Prosser Knowles as an administrator, and then for the last 10 or so years I headed up the Client Services Team.

“In the last six months, Prosser Knowles has set up a dedicated Mortgage and Protection department, and with this being an area that really interests me, especially now, I wanted to be a part of it. So, I now provide support to advisers and clients with all mortgage and protection enquiries, and this has been a really positive new venture for me.

“The thing I enjoy most about working here at Prosser Knowles is most definitely the people. I think sometimes people have a certain perception of financial advisers, but we don’t fit that mould. We genuinely all get along really well and have a good laugh while getting serious work done!

“Something I have learned during my time at Prosser Knowles so far is to embrace change. Recent changes for me have been very positive. I would never have thought a year ago that I would be doing a different role and really enjoying it!”

Kay Holden celebrates 25 years with our firm

Associate Director Kay Holden has recently celebrated 25 years of working at Prosser Knowles. We’re so grateful to Kay for all she does for our firm.

Reflecting on her experience, Kay says, “During my time at Prosser Knowles, I have worked in every department of the company. I started in the administration team (now called the Client Services Team) before becoming a trainee financial adviser, taking over the company book keeping, becoming the Practice Manager, and then finally an Associate Director.

“I have seen the company grow from just a handful of us to more than 30 members in our team – and of course, everything was paper-based back in 1998!

“It’s lovely to work for a company that is so dedicated to keeping up to date and implementing change from a market place, regulatory, and technology perspective to ensure the best experience for our clients.

“Our clients have always been at the heart of everything that we do and there is no better feeling than knowing we have helped a client to achieve their financial dreams and goals.”
