Your Spring 2024 company update – the National Three Peaks Challenge

Griffiths Marshall Business Advisory and Prosser Knowles are coming together to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge in a bid to raise funds for The Griffiths Marshall Foundation and Maggie’s Cancer Care.

Griffiths Marshall Business Advisory is a likeminded firm that we work closely with, based in Gloucester.

The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within a 24-hour period.

These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales. The challenge involves 26 miles of walking with nearly 9,900 feet of elevation gain and a total of 462 miles of travel between mountains.

The challenge will be completed between 13 and 14 June – less than two months from now – by our brave team.

The National Three Peaks Challenge team

The team is made up of employees from both Griffiths Marshall Business Advisory and Prosser Knowles: Gavin, Josh, Ian, Taylor, Charlie, Zach, Jonathan and Dan, with Matt and Steve sharing the driving.

From Prosser Knowles, this includes Jonathan Bissett and Daniel Morris completing the climbs.

The charities we’re supporting through the National Three Peaks Challenge

The Griffiths Marshall Foundation

The Griffiths Marshall Foundation aims to support young people in Gloucestershire through grants to charitable bodies.

The foundation focuses on advancing the lives of young individuals who are experiencing financial or health disadvantages. It provides recreational and leisure activities to improve their conditions. Additionally, it seeks to develop their skills, capacities, and capabilities, enabling them to become mature and responsible members of society.

The Foundation acts as a resource for individuals up to the age of 18, offering advice, assistance, and organising programs to address various needs, including education, unemployment, and social welfare, with the ultimate goal of improving the overall quality of life for young people in the Gloucestershire region.

You can find more information about The Griffiths Marshall Foundation on their website.

Maggie’s

Maggie’s is a charity that provides practical, emotional, and social support to individuals affected by cancer. They offer a range of free services, including counselling, workshops, and group activities, within purpose-built centres located near major cancer hospitals.

Maggie’s aims to create a supportive and uplifting environment for cancer patients, their families, and friends, helping them cope with the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. The charity focuses on enhancing the overall wellbeing and quality of life for those affected by cancer through holistic support and a welcoming community.

Sponsor our hikers before the National Three Peaks Challenge on 13 June

The smallest of donations can have a big impact, and we thank you for any support you can show for the challenge. All funds raised will be split and distributed equally between the two charities.

You can make a donation by visiting our GoFundMe page. Thank you in advance.

We’ll be back in June to tell you how our brave hikers did on the day, and how much they’ve raised for these two amazing causes.
