Prosser Knowles: a year in review

As 2022 draws to a close, we thought it would be nice to look back at all the achievements from this year and give thanks to the incredible clients who have made it all possible.

2022 has been a tough year financially for many of our clients, and it is our greatest pride that you continue to put your trust in us here at Prosser Knowles. The cost of living crisis might have brought on some worries, but we aren’t going anywhere.

Read on to find out our 2022 highlights, and what’s to come for the Prosser Knowles team in 2023.

We celebrated our 35th birthday

Established in 1987 by Ken Prosser and June Knowles, our firm has gone from strength to strength.

Our original offices were located in Kidderminster, before we expanded further into Worcestershire and Gloucestershire in recent years.

Since our inception, we have become a pillar of the Worcestershire community and beyond, serving clients who have thrived alongside us throughout the ups and downs of life.

Whilst remaining within our current locations, we hope to expand our presence even further in the coming years.

We opened our new Worcestershire office

One key change we implemented this year was replacing two of our main offices in Worcester and Hartlebury with a brand-new larger office in Droitwich Spa.

After investing extensively in renovating and updating the space, we are proud to have opened our new larger Droitwich Spa office in June.

This new environment offers our team a modern, spacious workplace that maximises productivity and allows us to provide a warm and friendly welcome to new and existing clients alike.

3 new colleagues joined the Prosser Knowles family in 2022

Of course, we couldn’t offer an impeccable service to our clients without each and every member of our amazing team. Over the years, we’ve built a brilliant cohort of individuals who work tirelessly to bring our clients’ financial goals to life.

This year, we welcomed three new colleagues into the Prosser Knowles fold.

Matt Freemantle – financial planning consultant

In his years of experience in the financial services industry, Matt has worked hard to help provide clients with the service they would expect.

Matt joined us in April 2022 and has become a valued member of our advisory team. He assesses our clients’ existing policies, individual needs and financial aspirations to provide them with bespoke recommendations.

Tara Adams – senior administrator

After supporting her husband in his financial advice firm, and with 20 years of experience, Tara Adams made the perfect addition to our administration team in 2022.

Tara plays a vital role in meeting clients’ needs and enabling other team members to remain efficient and organised.

Millie Court – Client Services Team Member

Most recently, Millie Court joined our Client Services team in November 2022 with previous administration experience within another industry. She is currently undergoing training on our systems and processes and is settling in very well.

We continued our charitable efforts and became a Corporate Sponsor of a local charity, The Family Haven

At Prosser Knowles, we like to help charitable organisations within our local community. We believe giving back is essential, especially in difficult times like the cost of living crisis.

So, this year we became a corporate sponsor of The Family Haven and participated in several fundraising events to support them.

The Family Haven work with vulnerable families in and around Gloucestershire. Some are dealing with immense economic hardship, while others have survived abuse or discrimination.

In support of The Family Haven, some of our colleagues have undertaken huge feats of endurance and bravery this year!

In May, our financial planner Jonathan Bissett swam 10km through the chilly waters of Lake Windermere, raising more than £800 for The Family Haven.

Then, in September, financial planning consultants Rachel and Laura took on a heart-stopping skydive to raise money for the charity, with the total reaching £1,340 between them.

Plus, this Christmas, we have committed to buying an advent calendar for each of the children currently using The Family Haven’s service and wearing our Christmas jumpers in the office in exchange for a donation to the charity too.

We have much in store for 2023!

As 2023 approaches, we want to share a few of our exciting plans for the future.

Of course, our priority is to continue providing a trustworthy service to our clients no matter what happens in the UK’s economic climate. While the cost of living crisis may not end when 2022 does, we are here to help you weather this storm.

Aside from continuing our relationship with all our valued clients, we have some much-anticipated developments happening in 2023.

Most notably, we will be launching our sustainable investment proposition in January. This proposition will help you align your investment portfolio with your beliefs – be it environmental, social, or governance causes you hold dear.

We will be continuing and increasing our efforts to raise funds and support The Family Haven in any way we can and we are also looking forward to continuing to expand our Gloucestershire presence.

Finally, from all of us at Prosser Knowles, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

See you in 2023!
